What Famous Place Or Location Do You Live Near....

  3. Until last year I lived 2 hours drive away from Granada, 1 hour from Jerez, 1 and half hours away from faro. But that was then. Now in West Yorkshire and not quite as good! :(

  7. Haha, true. Was working in York centre last week at BHS. Got there for 7 am, unloaded my gear and had to park the van about 1/2 mile away in Piccadilly. Couldn't get back to the shop to load the van until after 5 pm and I'd finished by 12. Chill out time! Still my favourite city in UK.

  11. bakewell was on tv this morning on house in the sun, beautiful location and those bakewell pudding/tarts looked yum.

  12. was through Banbury cross on way to Silverstone on the sp1,was like everything you imagine in a little English town. isn't it near Morton on marsh?

    if anyone watched the enactment on the build-up to declaration to war (ww1) last year then this was used as the hq for the Germans

  18. take your navy related pick. Nelson & Victory, Mary Rose, Submarines museums, Royal Marine museums, Gosport ferry...I live pretty much in the heartland of all that involves sailors..then of course Dickens house was a couple of miles away

  19. Bath , Glastonbury and Wells, the old railway line the Titfield thunderbolt was filmed on and our village, Carlingcott, is mentioned in the doomsday book then called Credelincote.
