Pull the back end of my mate old Zx6r Apart get the shock rebuilt. The swingarm painted, & all the bolts re passivated, God it looked like it had been in the canal !!! Old kawasaki days ! Eh
drove to the bike show got a lil lost and it took 2 hrs to get there and traffic on the way back made it a 2.5 hour trip.. great. took the ex and her boy.. she turn into a bitch after about 2hrs after having a blast sitting on all the bikes. the drive home was in stony silence.. joy... She did buy me a nice Alpinestars jaws jacket (well when i say bought, she finally replaced the Dianese one i lent her that she came off in, got paid out for and continued to wear for 3 years) Not a bad show i guess.. Really like the rc 390 (want one bad) the scrambler looks alot better in the flesh as does the Arial ace suprisingly... The h2 kwaka is pig ugly front on and in the tail department but still pretty cool.. Didnt seem to be a great deal of bargains.. one stall had Alpinestars suits for £400.00 which is not bad but wanted £380.00 for the same jacket we paid £280.00 for at another stall with yet another chap asking £399.00 so maybe i got (well she got) a bargain with that (ive yet to check online but it dont matter now!) Now im about to cook a lovey rack of N.Z lamb with a bit of mash and a red current sauce mmmmmm
I always thought that the clothing 'bargains' was one of the reasons for attending the shows. Kind of helps with justifying entry price.
just looking at the jaws jackets online the cheapest is on flea bay (but not my size) at £250.00 and all others are sorta £360.00 -£400.00 so perhaps there was the odd bargain. Its one of those where you need to Know exactly what you want and how much they usually go for i guess.. I didnt as i took no money!
Went out on the bike for the first time in two months (!), chin-wagged with forum members at Loomies, visited No.2 Son in his new flat (he's struck out on his own - makes you proud!), listened to some killer tunes, chilled with a couple glasses of red and basically not thought about going back to work tomorrow until I just started typing that. Bugger! Ah well, I finally had a good day on the last day of my week off. Better than none at all
Took one young un to football this morning, wife took the other who plays. Glad I took him as they thrashed the other team 10-0. His first game since before Xmas and he loved it! Then took two of them over to visit their grandma in Lincolnshire. Dropped them off at home then went into work to start pulling the bike apart. The work mate who bought my blade off me shelled out some brass too unexpectedly so happy days.
I'm back to work tomorrow too after a week off You should have rode up here I would have made you a bacon butty and coffee
I've now arrived in Missouri and I'm in the trashiest town I have EVER come across. It makes Blackpool look sedate! Ive done a tour of the property that my client wants to develop and I'm just about to go for something to eat before the snow storm comes in. They are predicting 3' of snow overnight. Which will be fun
Not long to go hang on in there I had to do a stint recently with no coffee for 12 hours that's!!! a killer I feel ya pain
