Yeah the rat run around the res I can live without. The walk up over Alphin Pike, across Wimberry, past Chew res to Laddow rocks and onto Pennine way is lovely. The knobheads all look like ants from the top. Used to live in Holmfirth area. It has it's fair share of knobheads make no mistake!
Well, I know damn well there was a totem pole in a park not that far from Richmond.....perhaps it's Windsor (Virginia Water)..........I stayed at The Wheatsheaf years ago.
Nigel Mansell moved in next to us when i was a kid,he was driving for Lotus at the time and had a black and gold Esprit,i was about 12 at the time,me and my mate were f1 fans so popped round to asked for his autograph,he told us to bugger off,to this day that c*nt makes my skin crawl,i would love to meet him again to tell him to his face what a knob he is.
Dewstow Golf Course has one of those in the middle of the fairway on the 690 yard, par 6 15th hole. You'd have thought it would be hard to hit from 230 yards away with a three wood - you'd be wrong....
@Arquebus Virginia water does have a totem pole remember that from when I was a kid and dad used to take us mountainbiking there
No,he lived in Kings Coughton, there is a small lane off the Stobart/Blakes island just outside Alcester,100% true story,it was in his early days at Lotus,he moved after about 18months.
yes its Virginia water lake that has the Totem Pole been around some time has that from as long as I can remember and spent my summer youth in Virginia water lake
I often walk around Windsor park & Virginia Water of a weekend. I live near Runnymede (Egham, but it doesn't sound as good) - where King John signed the Magna Carta in 1215 - the birthplace of democracy, limitation of power and freedom under law .... ... We used to have a Woolworths as well ... oh, how times change ....
I have lived near the world-famous Star and Garter Home (soon to be transformed into apartments) on Richmond Hill since 1991 and have never seen anyone wearing Buberry here. You must be thinking of chav-ville (aka newly renamed Staines upon Thames!).
I almost never drink beer at home. My local is five minutes' walk away and hand-pumped ale is far superior to bottled IMO.
