As much as I love the DP Carbon one, £300 is a bit much...but I quite like this... Ducati Hypermotard 821 Fender Eliminator Kit | eBay Anyone got a recommendation? I'm a bit hesitant on the R&G/Evotech ones as I don't want some crappy lump of metal hanging off the back looking half finished. It's difficult to tell if they are any good without seeing in the flesh. Cheers!
I have just fitted the r&g one. It looks like thirty quids worth off the bike. Fitted tho it looks fantastic. Fit and finish is faultless. Instructions are good and easy to follow. Fitted looks a hundred quids worth.... only the electric connectors let it down. Easly replaceable at a later date as they are out of view anyway.
If youre not happy with whats out there - design your own, that's what I did....and id still say mines the best ive seen and the most versatile and the best made out there... Ive not see the rear end of the 821 so cant comment but I made my mock up out of tin, using scissors to get the shape - took the rear part off that the mudguard mounted to and then took to the fabricator to make. That is a compressed down summary there but it was worth it.
Thanks chaps! I could design my own but got enough projects on the go at the moment Might go with the R&G one as I have their bungs (teepee haha) and a cover so I know some of their stuff is good. Will post up some pics once I sort something.
which ever one you choose it makes a huge difference! the standard rear end just looks awful...am now sitting here trying to remember if i went with Evotech..think I did and got it from Conquest if I recall right...certainly looks good now
col123 done anything else apart from high can? i put a stubby SC projects can, air filter and fuel modifier along with ducabike frame plugs on mine...looks good sounds massive (sometimes think its actually TOO loud) rearmost and levers next but they will have to wait
I have the carbon tidy fitted. I only wished it pulled the number plate in a bit more. Still sticks out a fair bit.
I've got the full termi system, evotech radiator grill,evotech front fork sliders and the tail tidy...its loud.hehe
