First off, the Scrambler? Is that a new breakfast Mickey D's is trying out? Hands down, this is THEE worst bike ever produced in modern times. Who and what created this 2 wheeled piece of crap should be promptly booted in the arse and fired for grand stupidity! And if I am not mistaken, does it not resemble an old Kawasaki 750? You be the judge...
It doesn't do anything for me I must admit, but I'm not sure its the worst thing on two wheels. It just looks boring to me. I need an indifferent voting option. Mind you, I've never found the Monster a thing of beauty. Any of them. But It was in large part the commercial success of the Monster which funded the development of Ducati's resurgent sportsbike sector and racing success in the 90's which led to the bikes we have today. Would there have been a 916, a 999 or a 1098 if it wasn't for all those fashionable biking newbies wobbling around on Monsters? Ducati needs a high turnover bread and butter bike. I hope it works for them but I'm afraid I won't be buying one.
Mmmm..... A McD's scrambler sounds nice, I'll take an XL bacon double scrambler meal please. Extra hash brown. I think it looks pretty BMX, like the next step up from the honda msx125. Sure we'll all get used to it.
Agee, we need more options. I'd never buy one, but its not the worst looking bike ever. I already have that... USA custom Honda CX500 in white, finished off with "my little pony" purple & pink metal flakes.
I wasn't keen when I saw pictures of it but ... I was smitten when I saw it in the flesh It's not a 1098s it's quirky in it's own right I think it's very like a monster and I also like the way you can customise it with different plastics It's comfy to sit on and I think it will turn heads while your out and about people will want to check it out
The thread asks if the scrambler is NOT the worst looking bike ever . Yes, it is not. I think the op meant to ask if it IS the worst looking bike ever. It is not even the worst looking Ducati ever. The original aircooled Multistrada or the Paso to name 2 recent styling disasters that surely prove that point.
I think it would work better for me with twin shocks on the back, a more scramblery exhaust and a lot more redness.
The amount they seem to be selling the market may well be swamped by the end of the year with low mileage Scramblers - especial if the subsequent ramp up in volume tails of after the initial surge. It may not in the first year though if they can't keep up with the demand see you in the winter to see what happens :Watching:
