If were talking the bike, wonder why it has a base/S model heat shield on it - strange...

 

Didn't all the 03-04 999 have white heat shield. 05-06 comes with black one.

 

Mine appears to have had a carbon one with small outlet holes with the standard system and a carbon one with large holes for the Termi, it's a 2003 Fila though so maybe different - bought off the original owner with all the bits present showing 1500 miles. Bike is standard with no mods.

 

2003 999R came with the tin cover. As did the 2003 fila when new.

 

Nope, checked with the original buyer, mine came with 2 x Carbon covers

 

That picture is from the original spec sheet when they were introduced so maybe yours didn come with it . But in 2003 thats how they were advertised.

 

Never ceases to astonish me as to why people continually try to associate Rossi with their Ducati’s, do they not remember how brilliant he was the 2 years spent in red!!!!

 

To be fair it was the bike that pretty much sucked...not Rossi...
