Yes only if it was paired, the early fit at dealer ones seem to have been where the later ones weren't as it became apparemt it made the termi kit unsellable second hand. Chris can flash out that part to virginise it
So if he, as you call it "virginises" it, it will then work with the first 848 it is installed on? (Apologies for the lack of technical knowledge)

It will work with any yes, as its not linked to the immo. As I understand it, when its linked the ecu looks for a ping/code whatever the techy term is from the immo to match. No match, no start. Virginise means it doesnt look for one (again as it was explained to me some time ago, can only assume its correct and fact)
What you're saying does make sense, it would seem it's the immo preventing it from starting. Hopefully chrisw can guide me in the right direction when he see's this! Thanks for the advice, greatly appreciated
Can you send me the info off the labels on the ECU. I suspect you have an 848 not 848 EVO ECU. If it is then it will not work.
Just seen that you are getting 848 Racing on the dash. You have the wrong ECU. The 848 EVO DP ECU says 'SBK 848 EVO DP' on the dash when installed.
Agree with Chris - you have the wrong ECU. All DP ECUs don't use the immobiliser in the same way as standard ECUs so there's no need to worry about them being locked or virginising them. They can be swapped from bike to bike without issue ... as long as it's the right one
He should sell his services around Feltham, there's more than a few women around here could do with that or at least a good welder.
I've got to say, I went through chrisw and what a massive help he was! I'm sure I'm one of quite a few to say that but cannot recommend him enough. Top job chrisw
