  1. Is there anyway to find out exact date my Ducati was built? Im assuming it would be a case of cross referencing the frame number etc. Any idea how I would get the information to cross reference it against?. Before you ask I wasnt planning on having a birthday celebration with ballons, friends and cake  Well maybe some cake, chocolate of course :upyeah:

  2. Cut it in half and count the rings :upyeah:

  4. Why not? I hadn't thought of it, but now you mention it, it sounds like quite a good idea. How about some ice-cream and jelly too, and a going-home present?

  5. Matt, on the 748/9xx bikes you can find the date the frame was assembled by looking for date stamp mark on the front LHS of the frame cross member forward of the seat hinge (below where the fuel tank bolt screws in) its quite well hidden. Also all the original plastic panels on the bike have small manufacture dates marked on the inside in white paint/ink. For example My MY02 748 has a frame date in May 01 and seat, fairing and other panel markings up to July 01. That model years bikes did not go on sale for a few months after July 01 and it was first registered in April 02. You may find similar info on yours but I don't know where. Alternatively email Ducati with the frame number and they will tell you when it left the factory.
