  2. from memory I think they are a straight fit ( was a while ago so may be mistaken) I do remember the spring retaining lugs don't line up so had them moved on my link pipe.

  3. If you do change might be interested in your current straight termi's???
If you want to sell them

  4. It actually IS a straight fit, although you need to have some new hooks welded on for the springs...

I've done this swap to a mates 1098 with full 70mm exhaust

If I can recall correctly, the springs are on the inside with the old style cans, and on the outside on the new style cans...

  5. I've got slash cuts on my 848. I think they are a straight fit without having to re weld the spring clips. I know that the evo pipes are different as I'm fitting some now and the clips need removing and re welding in about 60 degrees on either side. Give us a shout if you need them welding as work's only 10 mins away from your office.

  6. Hmmm, reading this post with interest. I too run a 70mm termi system on my 1098R. And I'm also thinking of switching to slash cut. I've recently had my engine rebuilt and custom mapped and its running great. Will slapping a pair of slash cuts on require another remap??

  7. I recon it doesn't... My mates 1098s ran a slight bit better with the same termi 70mm ECU after the swap! It barks pretty sweet on a small twist of the wrist...

  8. Glad my 848 comes with slash cuts fitted to a full system, they look much nicer than the older termi end cans

  9. I doubt it very much, I have a S2R 1000 with full arrows had it remapped and asked if I change to termi end would there be any difference, apparently not, but never tested it.

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  10. I would want it put on the dyno, I am sure the curve on the Arrows is different to the Termi.
No two cans will be exactly the same so I would expect a difference between manufacturers cans.
If you want bespoke map then every time you change the cans you would have to get it remapped.
