Me And My Special 1099sp

  1. Someone noticed me about this forum... I'm not that much of a computer guy, you'll find me more in and around my garage... More of a builder than a poster, I guess...

But what the hell, here we go... ;-)

My name is Martyn, and I live in the southern part of Holland! Ducati's are my passion...

I didn't want to hold my build back from everybody... Is there a dedicated part on this forum where I can post it?

This is how it started out:

And this is how she sits now.... (Still ongoing...)

  2. Now that is a nice bike.Have you thought about adding the longer 996/998 dp magnesium swingarm. The exhausts and seat unit go really well with that bike imo.

Nice job ill check it out on ducati ms.

  3. Welcome Dave :)

  4. It's got a 1098 swinger on it :upyeah:

  5. Exactly as it looks a bit odd to me unlike the later seat unit. The 1098 swingarm reminds me of those febur magnesium swingarms which I wasn't a fan of either.

  7. Thanks guys... It has a 1098 swingarm, these are exactly 1inch longer than the stock 748-998 swingarm...

  8. Its just down to personal preference Tobytyke I like the slimmer less complicated design of the dp mag swingarms compared to the febur/1098 style and yes im aware the 1098 standard swingarm is longer than standard 996 swingarm.Funny though I think it looks much better in black in the last pic compared to first post and goes with all that lovely carbon bodywork on OP's bike and the dark colour makes it look less bulky to me anyway.

One of the nicest looking bikes ive seen in quite a while.

  12. Great start to the site.

  13. Thanks!!! :upyeah:

It is a custom exhaust, partly Termi 70mm, partly Zard...

That sound... (this is before the custom mapping, the paintjob and the 1098R wheels)
