Following a quick blast on the Streetfighter last night, I returned home and this was sat on the driveway. I have no idea if it's from the bike or maybe has fallen off my car or bike rack as I was out mountain biking during the day and that was the only other traffic on the drive. I've included the keys to give a sense of size. Have I lost a bit off the Streetfighter ? It looks pretty new and the bike is the likely culprit.
Looks like a peice of vibration supression technology to me, ie a piece of rubber from the frame. I could easily be wrong thou and Im sure my comment is of little or no help. Sorry :frown:
It's off the double overhead wangbar piston spring return valve flange watchamacallit, actuation suppression modulator. Seat stop rubber?
I have tried all the answers so far, the bike now resembles Father Ted's raffle car after knocking the dent out with a small hammer. It looks like a simple press fit so I'll press it in somewhere! I did have a thought that before this ride, I had swapped to the DP seat so I'm wondering if it should be slotted in somewhere under the seat and got dislodged when I switched them. It's good to know the forum can provide a wealth of answers. Animal is less obvious than a duck.
You are all wrong, its obviously a transducing alfanomenator, the one with the ossilating tangerforlander as this dampens vibration....
