I'm only teasing I've done the same myself. Never had prob uploading pics through tap but I do prefer web page through safari on phone
Old rider: I'd love to but the forum doesn't seem to show well on a smartphone (I have an android). Can't seem to upload pictures from my phone either through I have many on it. I just ordered a new laptop and gave my youngest my old one. I use my office computer the most....but don't have Ducati photos on it. Is there another app to use for the forum or does it'd own app exist?
Ducbird your killing me. LOL. Thanks but no. I'm not an apple fan. No app from Ducati Forum UK? I'd even pay to have it!
No app for it I would die without my iphone I just bookmarked the forum so I have a desk top icon I click that it's mobile version Works like tapatalk To post a pic touch upload a file touch choose file that will give you the option to take a pic or use existing photo on the mobile version Easy peasy Not sure about android Do you get this option when your posting
I do but when I click upload a file it then gives me options. I go to my gallery then try to pick one but it doesn't let me. In other forum's or applications it checkmarks the upper right to what you have chosen. It doesn't do that for this app. I tried uploading pictures of my new tools or my Ducati mouse pad at work. Nada.
Oh I ordered some monster key chain from the UK today. It will take 2 weeks to get here but they look cool!
Do you get the option to take a pic when you click or touch to upload a file, I wonder if that works?
This seems to be a problem specific to your phone, so it's difficult to help without having the same phone or access to one. I've had Android and liked it but am currently using an iPhone. The forum works reasonably on an iPhone but the smaller size of the screen is restricting of course. I tend to use an iPad a lot with the forum and that works really well. As a short term workaround, can I suggest you email yourself pics from your phone, so you can access them on your work computer and then upload them to the forum from there. Meanwhile, I'm sure @Rob or someone with an Android phone can figure out how to sort out the problem.
You are maybe not waiting long enough for your photo to upload. Once you press upload it gives you several options press documents it takes you to your gallery. Once you have selected and pressed your photo there should be a little black panel at top left of your screen with moving white chevrons. That indicates its uploading. Until it disappears you can't move on. Once it does your picture should appear to the right of the "post reply" button that's when it's ready to post
Higgy....it's either my phone possessed or I'm absolutely in the dark. I'd agree with the not waiting long enough, I'm a very impatient chic. However the phone is the one that changes screens, not me. There are no white chevrons as you call it. I'm thinking that what Cupid Stunt suggested is best....reset phone but man that means that I have to download 10+ applications and reset each of their settings. What a pain!!!!!!
Sorry but some times needs must. That's why I like the iPhone create a back up then reset phone then restore back up and it loads up all the apps you had plus music and pictures
My mate had a Samsung, it would back up but miss out half his Apps, contacts, pictures and Music and somedays it would just refuse to connect.
I used to have one. The phone was good but the Kies software was a pain - not that iTunes is ideal...
Old Rider & crystaljohn... I uninstalled zzTapatalk. Worthless POS. I finally received my Samsung Tablet which has a better screen to view the forum. Ill have better luck just using the actual website though I did clean out all the cache & cookies. Thank you all for your help!
The website itself works fine, so accessing it via a tablet should be the way to go. I usually use the forum via either a pc or an iPad. I was very sceptical about iPads and tablets in general when they first came out and it's true that they are no match for a pc as a work tool but for browsing they are brilliant. iPads are a pain when it comes to connectivity, you can't just plug in an external drive and card readers aren't easy either. Are Samsung tablets better in these respects??
