Hi all, After selling my last bike (Honda Sp1) 5 years ago, I never thought I would have another bike as other varied interests got in the way of biking. But its took me this long to realise that all the other interests were not a real passion as biking was. Have had bikes since I passed my test when I was 17 ( 25 years ago) and once a biker always a biker !!. So since Xmas I had been looking for a Ducati 848, and 3 weeks ago I found one, and got to say "what an amazing bike", the looks are just to die for, the sound is truly amazing, its fitted with a full Termi system, by God its loud !!. To be honest the previous owner has spent over £2500 on it making it even more special. Due to work commitments and the weather I have not had chance to ride it yet, but that's going to change tomorrow . Looking forward to that is an understatement. This forum site looks really good and glad to be part of it. I live with fear everyday...sometimes she lets me ride !
Welcome, that's a great bike to make you realise what you've been missing, enjoy your ride out. Steve
Hello and welcome to the mad house Watch the bed bugs don't bite and watch out for the locals mad they are
Once in the blood... I was forced out of biking when the twins were born but soon got back into them a while after. Missed it so much. Hello & welcome
Same with me....46 now, left bikes behind at 28 to fund house, have kids, fund another house, have more kids....got back into it 5 years ago...first duc 2 years ago (hyper 1100s) and now 1100evo...
Great bike and you're near great roads I'm guessing! Off to Llandrindod Wells for a night next week Welcome Welcome
Good roads round there, did an IAM weekend round there a couple of years back-excellent. Wilkommen, OP!
The 848 was a great choice for me because I like raw power without electronic aids... Which are expensive when it goes wrong:Nailbiting: I like the way it looks and performs big time! Enjoy! I was sceaming like a little girl today whilst crapping myself about loosing my licence in one offence:Wideyed:
Yes 30 mins from some brilliant roads, Abergavenny, Brecon, Wye Valley, Tintern, all have there own fantastic and rewarding roads.
Welcome , had my first 'proper' ride on my newly aquired 848 yesterday in the sun, was wonderful, just such a character filled bike that stops people in their tracks with its noise and looks. Got a few tweaks to sort out to get it the way I want it but I'm very pleased as I'm sure you are, looking forward to some Welsh trips in the sun...
