2004 DUCATI 999 BIP (Collection Only) | eBay no mention of service history, the wheels are white, no mention of belts or mot, dash etc has been replaced...seems dodgy as fook, never seen such a short description of a duke. the guy wants 4.5k for that!!! much nicer one (albeit in yellow) for the same price does this guy not do his research....
Wheels being white isn't necessarily a sign of dodginess,some people have odd taste ,i'm thinking about getting mine done in gold...I would expect some history details and an MOT perhaps but at the end of the day its caveat emptor, buyer beware....oh and there's nothing wrong with yellow!
the seller sounds like somebody who knows nothing about bikes and why would you mention replacing the loom , hardly a selling point.
I agree. Some more details certainly wouldn't go a miss and why do people always say "first to see will buy" ? them gold wheels look awesome but the white wheels on that bike are hideous that's what I was getting at. I zoomed in on the bike and the fairings don't look quite right either not sure if it's the cam quality or what. hey i'm yet to own my first duke its something I should have before the end of this year so i'm no expert but I've looked at so many these last couple of months and that's gotta be the worst 999 I've ever seen! Moto John your bike looks pretty special Seen so many nice bikes on here don't think I've seen any that offend my eyes lol
Mongoose...The shorties are an acquired taste and do take some getting used to,i've since got hold of some nice levers by Gilles ,ergonomically nicer and much more user friendly. Hopefully getting my wheels done in gold later on in the year,when funds are available....I do agree they are the best colour, strangely enough my bike is now red... long story but basically my tank sprang a leak due to a broken subframe,and the only available replacement tank at the time was a red one,i managed to get hold of a red fairing kit and it just morphed into red from then on,all the yellow bodywork is in my attic and will be fitted as and when I get tired of the red (and when I get the yellow tank sorted out)....nice to have the choice !...even thinking of changing my user name to redducmaniac...
at least yellow is different...my kwak ain't green and I don't think i'd ever get a green kawa. frogs are green ninjas are black
Working on it..always preferred the yellow ,but I think the red looks the bizz as well!...decisions decisions....
