I don't get why people won't allow the dealer the chance to put things right. I'm sure it'd be different if their integrity was being brought into question. I'm obviously missing something.
bradders is , I think, right when he basically says ALL dealers suffer from the odd horror story. I am sure Bentley or Porsche have their fair share of disgruntled customers??? In my experience it is not really the fact that the job was mishandled or indeed shoddy, more importantly for me when these things happen (and they do to everyone, unless your very lucky) it matters a hell of a lot how they deal with YOU and their errors. I used JHP for the first time about 2 years ago and in all truth they were fantastic, I sang their praises and swore I would never use anyone else. I went back this year and had some already documented problem with them. The work on the bike was, when I eventually got it back, great, it ran like a dream. My issue was the time it took, the lack of communication FROM them and ultimately their rather pathetic attempt at saying "sorry, have 120 pounds taken off the 1200 pounds bill, we hope you come back soon" Customer satisfaction for me is largely based on customer care, I won't retune to JHP because they cannot fulfil their timeline, nor did they really make an effort to keep me informed about things. I have a local dealer (non Ducati) very close by who are outstanding in service department and sales ( I just bought a gixxer750 from them, sits next to the 996) I will probably seek the services of Ducati John for the next 996 TLC session as I hear many good things about him. Hope the OP gets things sorted
I don't get this. The guy said he had poor service from whoever and wanted to get it sorted, but wouldn't name or shame in the meantime. As far as it goes, I would have been entirely happy to completely ignore the thread until such time as the OP wanted to provide further info. Or if there were no further updates, so what? I mean, come on ... a post is made that someone somewhere had provided shoddy service? Is that really such big news?
You shood be out on your bike anyway...sunny on the coast today I'm having to make do with finishing the garage remodel...although the paint defo didnt cover the sq m it said on the tin...think I feel a letter to Wickes CEO, trading standards and the ASA coming on for false and leading literature
Go get 'em Paul. That sneaky Wickes store is laughing behind your back. Trying to work up a head of steam to go out on the bike. How's your recovery coming along?
Like I said earlier, two weeks and counting. If you have a gripe sort it ASAP and move on. All that is happening here is a slagging fest with no purpose. Speak to the dealer, get a resolution, if it is not satisfactory vent your spleen!! Stop pissing about man!! Duke
No..........I have corrected the problem, written them a letter....then told everyone on the forum what I have done about it, including the people I'm moaning about who read the forum as well.......and told everyone that I have got experience of this sort of thing and know my way around the forums. See? I told you I was a silly old goat.... AL
Fareham. Service wasnt great either, I had to carry my own woodnand strap the bugger to the roof rack myself! I spent £35 in there, they should be laying petals at my feet for that
Yeah, I know, but if they'd have been any good at searching....... They'd have found it. But sadly, they're not. It's easier to put them out of their misery..!
