Hypermotard Or Hypermotard Sp?

  1. Agreed - which is why I got an evo....slightly lower which I prefer....

  2. The DP seat shaves a bit off the hight and if you still find yourself needing to slide off the seat it's got grips on the sides to help stop you slipping off completely. At least that's the theory as being 6'1'' I can stick my size 10s flat on the floor....

  3. Ride an SP, which is a touch taller than the std Hyper due to the better suspension that comes with the SP trim level. Don't have my manual handy to quote the height difference.

  4. I have read that the 796 seat is 20mm lower than the 1100. I know the standard bike is altogether lower but didn't realise theyd shaved 20mm from the actual seat. Anyone know if this is right? If it is I'll get a 1100 one.

  5. I've got a 2013 SP, 31 inside leg and struggled a little in tight situations, purchased the lower seat (25mm lower) now perfect.... Amazing the difference 25 mm makes when on your tip toes...

  6. I have an sp 2014 and despite being 6.1" I can almost out one feet flat down. I have the racing seat. I was considering the lower seat but some people say its horrendously uncomfortable. How does it compare to the standard seat?

  7. I have the standard SP seat and the "Lower" seat. I find that both are the same comfort level on the street. The lower seat is wider though. Although, since I track mine often, I like the Standard SP seat for the track. The lower seat because of its width is harder to move side to side on.

  8. I didn't like the standard so went for the racing which I believe is the same height. Much better but I'd be curious to try the lower seat. Is the touring same height as the low?

  9. Yeah the touring and lower are the same height. I think there's only 2 things that are different between the 2. The stiching and the widths.

  10. To be honest guys, i'm 5'10 at a push...lol

Really wanted the SP as of the spec so took the height problem on the chin :Arghh:

Purchased the low seat but found it kept me right in close to the tank and limited movement back and forth (really hated it)
Now i got the race seat which is quite flat from front to back and much prefer it.

Learnt to deal with the height by tipping slightly over onto my right leg on stop (simples!)

Just my 10 bobs worth :upyeah:

  11. I've only had the low seat a few days but can't notice any immediate discomforts

  12. the racing seat is superb. I just wish they did a low version of it. of the low seat options I wonder if the touring is the better one

  13. Pic of my race seat incase anyone hasn't seen one....:)
