I can use tapatalk but choose not to. The thing that bugs me the most about both Ipad and iPhone is that you can only delete backwards, not forwards, so correcting typos is unnecessarily long-winded much of the time. Same with all phones though, I think.
The phone version works OK ( for now) and the tablet is so slow and its not an old one , I will end up smashing it after a few drinks the way its going!
Perhaps it's your wifi and the way you are connecting to it that's the problem. The other half and I use the Ipad so much that I have extended the wifi to give a strong signal throughout the house. I used one of the gadgets that sends the signal from your router through the mains wiring and then broadcasts another network from whatever location you plug the other gadget or gadgets into the mains. The second one also has an ethernet socket on it, so I have put it by the smart TV, so it's hard-wired to the TV for an optimum Netflix, U-tube etc. connection and also broadcasts a wifi signal for iPad and phones for that end of the house. Cost about 80 or 90 quid but is well worth it. Our house is big enough to need just the one extra wifi signal but if you have a very big house, you can have as many extra 'transmitters' as you like. What I have is a Netgear Powerline 500. Avoid range extenders which take the signal from your existing router, amplify it and re-broadcast it. They are cheap but ineffective.
No mate the wifi is fine and the house is an old coastguard cottage so small, I watch netflix etc on the TV with wifi no problem and the phones and laptops are fine maybe there is some daft setting on the tablet that's not right but it says signal strength is excellent!
Well, any WiFi signal that will stream netflix to a TV has to be pretty fast... I'm stumped - borrow an iPad, see if it's any faster???

Laptops are better for working on spreadsheets etc but give me a tablet every time for casual browsing,as with this forum or Ebay etc. Windows 8.1 is better than the original 8 and it can be customised further to look and work more like Windows 7 or XP but I am running Windows 7 on a Windows 8 touchscreen pc (Samsung!) Why would I ever want a touchscreen pc? Because it was my Sister's and she died shortly after buying it.
Tapatalk is handy to use on the phone as I work offshore and do a lot of traveling worldwide , even so it's a bit crap!
after over 70 posts its easy to forget where it all started. I for one was quite interested in the mini tool set, I am easily aroused at the thought of gratuitous hand tools
Ducbird...did you get my tool pivtures finally? My apologies gentleman, easily distracted. I emailed pictures of tool set and many other pics to ms Ducbird so she can help load them since Im having a crappy time. I actually have 2 mini tool sets, working on getting more tools because learning to work on my bikes matters to me a bunch.
