Thanks for replying Viv. I too have a friend who was diagnosed with some form of sleep apnea. He was having a terrible time for quite a while. Eventually a diagnosis of excess stomach acid was found to be the cause of his problem. He was prescribed Omeprazole ( a drug to lessen the amount of acid produced) and all is well. Wish you well with your issue, it would be interesting to know more about the sleep clinic sometime.
Funny you should say that I'm on lanzoprazol for acid reflux Been on it for a year and it's really good Thoughts are acid reflux has irritated the upper respiratory in some way I'm on inhalers which help to keep symptoms at bay
From what I understand the acid was causing respiratory problems with my friend too. His girlfriend was terrified he was dying in the night as he made some awful death rattles! You had your Thyroid gland function checked Viv?
Yes thyroid is all fine I'm not aware or ever been told I make noises or that anyone has worried about my breathing I have had lung ex rays and bloods for mould spores all are clear I think it's the acid reflux over the years and I had a really bad cough in oct 13 which I couldn't clear up Had antibiotics and steroid inhaler I seem worse in damp conditions and the cold
Somehow managed to set my car alarm off while driving Talk about embarrassing Every traffic light was red and my car sounds like a police car on heat!!! The pointing and laughing I could have died Got to mini and it stopped as I entered the gates!! Typical It's been fine since
Mel takes Omeprazole as well. I used to think every breath was his last when he was asleep. It was causing sleep deprivation in both of us so it's helped both of us, Mel losing three stones has helped as well but he still get reflux if he stops the Omeprazole. Hope you get sorted soon Viv.
I am exhausted, solid skiing again today, bit of cloud at first which burnt off quite quickly. The snow is superb above 1600. The apartment we are in overlooks a fantastic run which is being groomed as I type ready for my warm up tomorrow morning.
186 miles on the MTS1200 PP, sadly the first 20 were into London to meet at the SA Embassy, the onto Clemsford, then across country, NW and then home. Missed the rain and got some lovely roads from London to Chelmsford (not A12). Made some excellent progress and some stares from old bill. I love my job and my Mutley...must get around to the front brake upgrade.
But did you get what you needed from the freezer? Well done though good job, I can put off things for ages then wonder why when I eventually tackle it, usually enjoying myself in the meantime!
I flew to Dubai. Met clients. Drove into Oman. Drove back out again. Drove into the desert. Then went into the mountains. Climbed up the mountains. Drove to my hotel. Had meetings all afternoon/evening. Now freezing my balls off with the aircon in my room and I cant see how to switch the bloody thing off. Tomorrow I have a bunch of meetings again.
I went for my first scuba diving lesson today. I asked the instructor "Why do scuba-divers fall backwards off the boat?" "Because if they fell forwards they'd fall back into the boat".
That's is amazing...its a totally different world underwater, I have been diving since '93 & I absolutely love it...I still want to go shark cage diving & see the great whites up close & personal!
Another brilliant day skiing, Was sitting in the bar earlier and our Daughter rang to tell us she has been promoted, I'm so please for her, her and her partner are trying to buy a house so it all helps. A good day all round.
Very happy day today, for one of my workmates anyway!!! A single lad a laborer, lives on his own and just makes ends meet won on a scratch card yesterday and came into work this morning with a smile on his face and continued digging some drainage trenches, at first break he casually let us know his winnings were ONE MILLION POUNDS. It couldn't have gone to a nicer lad and can't see it changing him at all. Steve
