Not sure if there is any relation to my original issue. I had the bike on the side stand at work. Fuel gauge was full. In the space of my 8 miles, congested no more than 15 mph journey. My gauge dropped to one bar under halfway. That's approx 6 bars. I don't get any errors. I have noticed it happen maybe once or twice. I thought nothing of it. Connected?
It sounds like the fuel level sender? That's another issue. Have a search on here for advice. I've no direct knowledge of the fault, only hearsay from this forum.
Just to recap on my bike. I've installed a new battery. The bike starts first time every time this week. Now I've said that I may have jinxed myself. Fingers crossed.
