Finally got my act together and booked this for us. Hell of a learning curve the first time we went last March so this time should be a lot more laid back and a lot more fun knowing the ropes. Planning a couple of days in Barcelona on the way home to celebrate my iminent retirement and relax and iron the kinks out. Anyone else booked ? Andy
@749sDub, so are you back and did you have a good time. I guess a bump as well for the original question, anyone else going ? Andy
We had a brilliant time, really love the circuit but we had mixed issues with the bikes. Rays 1098s gave up the ghost on the second session of day one due to electrical germlin, thankfully there was a new blade available for him to see out day three on. I got a bit carried away with getting in some hot laps on the very last session and over cooked turn one, sat it up and ended up in the gravel trap. Lot of cosmetic damage to bike but walked away in one piece, so all in all I cant complain. A girl in our garage put together a nice little vid of our trip.. Enjoy your visit to Cartagena, oh and carefull on turn 1 lol
Good little vid, glad you had a good time. Weather forecast doesn't look all that good for two of the days but we should enjoy ourselves. Andy
hey andy. Yeah had a blast. Apart from stoopid sensor connection ending my 1098 time on first day! But I got to spank a rather fresh fireblade all day Wed. Just got lines down for next trip Weather was incredible! ! Hopefully you guys at least get it dry if no sun around. Its an amazing track. See here, not bad on a bike im not allowed scratch or tyres ive never been on - Dunlop GP 202 I think. Rather sticky! My first time using "race shift gearing" , savage!! Keep us posted how you get on! Hope ya's have a blast! Ray
Was that someone going out 2 up ? Braver than I am, that's for sure. One comment, there's something not quite right about the sound . Andy
Which helmet strap you talkin about willis ? Sure was, that was Woolsey Coulter with the young lady who made that vid above. She wanted to go out with him on back of the bike. Mad eh, wouldnt have been me !
Just had my times through for the 4 days, best lap 1:47 which would explain why I went from group 1 to group 3 in one go. Whilst I would love to say that was genuinely me, it isn't. It has to be a glitch in the timing. I think my actual fastest lap was 2:17 which made me just over 6 seconds a lap faster than last year and I'll take that. Andy
