Happy With Service From An Independent Ducati Garage

  1. Poor service?

Did the garage not fit the right belts or something? I hate it when that happens.

  5. you know, you do a job it doesn't go well you do a fix to keep it going it gets forgotten about. customer doesn't understand whats been done or watches to much dodgy dealer type programs.
saying that most of the bikes mentioned on here are fairly new so really shouldn't be to much in the way of spit and tape repairs.

  6. Gents

The torque setting is not in question

The issue I have is that the rear wheel was removed and replaced leaving all the salt and shit in the thread of the rear axle nut....the chain hadn't been lubbed ( bike sat for a while hence the pre track service)

Now minor those points may be it is MY MONEY and therefore MY opinion that it is unsatisfactory hence the title...

If it were your bike would you be happy with that?

I will be seeing the garage this week to express my disappointment. Thanks to those who actually took the time to steer me a recommendation.
Those who persist with thread title change may as well just move on, your humble opinions are dully noted, thanks.

  8. Ha ha well I didn't expect so much heat just for a title, nor being told I don't know what I am talking about, just wanted to clarify the substance of the thread....as far as I am concerned its long dead, wish others would let it lie too:Smuggrin:

  9. Yeh bastards! :Rage::Rage::Rage::Rage::Rage::Rage::Rage::Rage::Rage: go away and leave this thread to die :upyeah:

  11. dried spunk on rear wheel axle thread. Some experts swear by it. It reduces friction when spinning the nut on then dries like threadlock.................but a little salty I have heard :upyeah:

  12. Poor service and stuff that wasn't really poor service but then was, then not and stuff - discuss further? :D

  13. Oh shit, he didn't lick it did he to see what it was :Wideyed:

  14. did we ever find out the BHP at the rear wheel?

  15. Rear wheel?

    Real men measure their crank.

  16. No rear wheel, real men wank

  17. Or that.

  18. I was corrected yesterday, apparently you should add a little grease to the axle. Thanks @Rman for yet more education ;)

  19. Wondered where you had been, this thread was dying without you! :Wideyed:

  20. Seems strange to be pissed of about a garage but find time to whinge here, rather than taking the time to contact them in the first instance.
