Yes indeed. We were on our way home from Essex, he was heading into Sudbury from the Bury St Edmunds direction.

Where are you then? We were in a bit of a hurry to get home as it had been 2 long hard days, but we are down at Hedingham next week for the classic Porsche show, and nog is servicing my ST whilst I'm there.
We're near to Aylsham, 10 miles from Cromer. Might be down your way in the winter as there is a field archery course near to you.
Ohh err, I was born in Cromer! It's Oakwood bowmen at Woodbridge. Went there a couple of years ago, was a good course and really miss doing field shoots.
I hope you aren't the result of a mis-spent youth's exuberance on holiday there......son.....better compare surnames (not on here though).... Oakwood....Over at Rendlesham..... Although I was fairly good with a traditional bow, I bought a compound in about 1980, but couldn't get on with it, so I stuck to shooting instead.....spent a lot of time blasting clays near the Perris establishment. Hmmm, dad, you must be getting your pension now! Traditional Longbow is the only way to shoot, it's all down to you as an individual, none of these fancy sights and weights! Perris,now there's a name, we used to do our field shoots there until the Fennes estate got into fancy weddings and didn't like us noisy archers and the hunting, shooting, fishing lot making too much noise.
Even if not quite there, I feel as though I ought to be Agreed Don't tell me the Fennes shooting site has gone? (I haven't needed to go there for say, 7 years.....can do it on my doorstep) There is are Lees on my father's side, but from Essex.....I'll send you a PM with some names. AL
As far as I'm aware the fishing is the only thing that happens at Fennes now. Perris don't even have a shop there anymore :-(, we tried to get Perris to set up at Henham Hall but they couldn't get things sorted. Have also suggested to Jason at Hedingham about Perris running a shoot there but nothing has happened yet.
I have an idea, but it has to be confidential, largely because I'm not sure which way to approach it....another PM coming AL.
