Swap Panigale For Scrambler

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Mushio, Mar 23, 2015.

  1. Yo Guys
I am thinking of swapping my Panigale for a scrambler ???
You must be bonkers !!! He's pissed !!! I hear you say.
Well if you can dare to ride a Panigale on the roads where I live , then you are bonkers, or pissed.
The state of them is shocking. Ive took some pics and sent them to the council. Along with a phone call and email to the highways department.
They was arsed to repair another just 100 yards away, but left these two.
I pay tax on 3 bikes and a car, Then add on the council Tax.
Then I drive/ride them on this shyte !! Crazy.
3rd world countries roads are better than ours.

Pics are from MIll Hill Lane. Burton on Trent. twinned with a MotoX course.[ Ideal for the new Scrambler]

  9. Don`t want to appear smug, but come and live in the south of France. You`ll want both.

  11. No other country can resurface a road as Britain does! I blame Nazi Germany. We lost our empire and our wealth. Other European countries invested in road and rail after getting the crap blown out of them. We just hired Barry to fill in the craters with a spade and bag of hardcore.

  12. I remember storming through Germany with a mate in tow, down fabulously surfaced roads, when suddenly the road changed from smooth black tarmac to the dreaded concrete slabs. And they were green with mould. I braced for impact...but the bike couldn't tell any difference, it still felt smooth as glass, I couldn't even feel the joints between the slabs, and though I didn't push my luck there felt like grip available too. How the hell do they do it..?

In Amsterdam (on a cultural exchange, you understand...) I was sat outside the big hotel opposite the station having a coffee and a smoke, a bunch of workmen came along and ripped up all the paving slabs, relaid the sand and levelled it by eye, then relaid the slabs - must've been about 80 square metres worth - perfectly flat, in about 90 minutes. I've known a van full of brits take a week to replace 2 slabs. Badly.

  15. Did exactly the same a few years back, was in the Harz mountains immediately changed from beautiful smooth tarmac to grassy cobblestones :Wideyed: :Arghh: we stopped and my German colleague just said "Ah schiesse GDR!" :)

  16. The last time I went to eastern Germany the roads were every bit as good as the west, albeit with a few cobble roads left over. Even in the Czech Republic the tarmac shames our own.

  17. Most were OK all be it that grey concrete type stuff, in fact everything seemed to be grey concrete :(, this was either '98 or 99 so probably changed a bit since then :)

  18. 2005 I went. Plenty of concrete buildings but the roads were great.

  19. Hey mushio.....you want a zed....very comfortable...!
