As I seem still to be able to bag writing, editing and rewriting work on quality publications whenever the fancy takes me, you'll excuse me remaining unconcerned about how the esteemed members of a motorcycle forum, however "obscenely" erudite, judge my use of our wonderful language.
If you are so unconcerned why do you respond to negative feedback or posts that don't support your argument in the way you do? Belittling those who appear to be beneath you? Just interested, damn I have fallen into the trap.
Just enjoy a bit of banter. Nothing like a good wind-up! And I cannot be held responsible if people wrongly infer that I'm trying to belittle them by robustly presenting my views. That's what debate is all about. I have directly insulted only once (when pissed). If people want to assume general criticisms I make ("for the hard of thinking", for example) refer to them and, therefore, take umbrage, that is a matter for them.
There's no substitute for personal experience. Hope Mrs Loz gave the green light for the red-light experience.
Your posts normally start with the subject in hand, half way through you get defensive/ aggressive, usually ending in a personal remark to belittle! It may be a little wind up for you, but I'm getting the strong impression is pissing the good folk on here off. Just my opinion but as they say every arseshole has one.
This sort of cover? Israeli settlers are using archaeological digs as cover to take Palestinian land, British government says - Middle East - World - The Independent
Give that man a banana! Yes, in the same way that you only have every other contributor's word for their assertions here ... well observed!
Nonsense, it was funny and somewhat zesty. Unless it was directed at me, in which case it was indeed unworthy :Shifty:
Surely the point is that governments / establishments / vested interests do dodgy things every bit as eagerly as the more obvious 'bad guys'... there are always two sides to every story: neither side is 'all good' or 'all bad'. It's very much in the interest of the Israeli establishment to prolong the dispute with the Palestinians: if peace were to break out the spotlight would actually turn on to some of these activities, but as long as there is a state of near war / terrorism then this less high-profile wrong-doing is barely noticed.
