  19. I don't mind anything thats over engineered. I always change my belts at 3 years as if any belt needs changing at 2 years I would question the belts integrity. But we all know they last longer whoever the manufactuer, they are playing safe which is understandable, providing you do average mileage and the bike is used reasonably frequently. At the end of a day saving a fiver a month easily covers belts and fitment over 3 years. A pint of Pernoni is nearly a fiver at my local anyway, so it will be good for my health too.

  20. They're over-engineered because they had to be in order to break into the market.
    Maybe at some point, once they are really established and enough of a track record has been set to prove they are bullet proof, the service period will be extended, who knows??
