999 Rear Indicators

  1. This is how it looks, can't notice it is there as it has a slight smoke to the lens and sits between the carbon exhaust shroud and carbon number plate hanger

  2. The problem with the integrated LED indicators is that they are too close together. The lighting requirements are that they should be between 180mm and 300mm apart.

  3. Have seen this discussed before and if I remember correctly, there is a regulation stipulating a minimum distance between indicators, so it's obvious which way you're indicating, especially in the dark when the rest of the bike may not be visible.
These all in one units don't meet that spec but if your local MOT guy isn't fussed and you're happy that it's obvious which way you're indicating - why not?
Apart from plod that is... :/

  4. Just checked the oem unit and the total width is 150mm, so you can't even argue that the ends are 180mm apart - unless this unit is wider of course...

  5. It does look good, especially with the carbon.

  6. I have heard that...
it is exactly the same width as OEM. Mind you, how Ducati ever got away with the OEM mirrors on the 749 999 models is unknown to me!

  7. I have an Oberon Streetfighter mirror on mine. Fills in the blind-spot gap immediately behind nicely and is very neat and unobtrusive

  8. I bought some carbon mirrors for mine, although they are small I can still see what's behind me now. Quite like the Oberon mirrors. Think anything beats standard.
