  7. Finally got bike, and given her a good clean - as Ducati dealer's idea of a clean is clearly different to mine.. Duc.jpg

  8. bike looks great / well kitted out. wonder why they've installed the throttle housing so the cables exit above the brake lever? I've seen that a couple of times now and also shows it that way in some of the manuals...
bet that sounds awesome with the full system! ;)

  9. Not too sure. I'm fairly new to the whole biking scene.
What I have noticed is my hands hitting front fairing/nose when turning with bars on full lock - a bit annoying when manoeuvring around.
    Does sounds really good though.

  10. Thats a well heeled bike! great picture, take it easy now....

  11. Keep a close eye on your fork seals.... ;-)

  12. I read somewhere before buying that these & Ohlins are not great in terms of fork seals. What causes it?

Is it an expensive job to do?

  13. I just bought my 1098s a couple of weeks ago and when the dealer delivered it, it was obvious that the right hand seal was leaking. Hadn't seen any problem when checking it out before purchase but they took it back and agreed to replace them for me. Not sure why they seem prone to failing, some people believe it's that they need to be used and don't like being stood around for any length of time. I also heard that they only have a single "lip" and that the ones for a GSX-R1000 K4 are a good replacement as they are the same size and have a double lip.... Not sure if any of that is true :)

I did enquire at an Öhlins specialist and they told me around €200 (Ireland) if I was paying for them to do it.

    Good luck!

  14. I'll have to have a look later to see how they look. Still under warranty for a while as yet, so won't worry too much yet. The bike has been sat for a couple of years though.
