Can I Get Three Bikes In A Transit Van?

  1. I need to drop off three bikes, and I can't get hold of a van bigger than a transit.
    I know I can get two bikes in a transit, but not sure about three...
    Can anyone offer any advice?

  4. Not in a low roof LWB either I wouldn't think.
    I have a LWB Merc vito..........no chance.

  5. I hired a Long Wheel Base Viaro (I think they are called) only just squeezed 3 in with many straps to hold in position - it was extremely tight.
    Your gonna need a bigger van :)

  6. Yep, trying to get a Merc Sprinter; but failing at the moment...
    Need to come up with decent plan B... :(

  7. A guy i know can fit three in a transit. ( three race thou's ).

    Wheel frst two in and place on left and right. Then the centre bike needs to go in backwards and use a paddock stand to hold it straight / upright Push it up against the bulkhead and go from there.

  8. What he said. And you may need to move a bar in and be mindful of which side any exhaust comes out. 3 dukes with underseat easier

  9. yes. 2 in facing the front, and 1 reversed in. Its effing tight. Now that is for real bikes, ones without indicators or mirrors or heated grips or panniers or comfort seats.

  11. Many thanks for replies. We'll give it a go as suggested. All three are track bikes so we won't get too bothered if fairings rub a bit...

  13. That's what I did with the long wheel base van and only just got an R1, A ZXR750 and a GSXR750 in - all road bikes with indicators. Must be a tight squeeze :Wideyed:
