848 / 1098 Modifications - what did you do ?

  1. Your number board looks great Deano. Is it the vinyl type that you have to heat up to fit?

  2. Thanks mate, It is a beautiful piece of kit but then again so is the 899/1199 and a few of the other sport versions.

  3. I only had to heat it to stretch out creases around the screen and lights. It's very forgiving.

  4. Getting my bike tomorrow, but it has that whacking great standard sized plate. The thing looks like an air brake!

What tail today is the one to go for, preferably one that would take a 7x5 plate?

    Thanks.

  5. Meloti ones look great. Good build quality too.

  6. What bike ?
I use Evotech good quality and look nice.

  7. Sorry, forgot that part. 1198s.

I'll have a look at Evotech. Thanks.

  8. Evotech on my 848 Evo, got it through Conquest Carbon, £60.99. I have also fitted the 1199 indicators to it.

  9. I've got the same FE as Cupid, but went with the DP LED indicators. Looks a lot better.

  10. Do they flash quicker than normal?

  11. I read somewhere that there's a sub menu on the dash which allows you to change the lights to LEDs. That might help if yours are flashing too quickly.

  12. Yep, that's why there are some resistors wired into the loom. Those are Ducati parts swell, so your dealer should be able to supply it all. I had mine done at the last service as I'm rubbish with electrics.

  13. Yeah I know you can get resistors to sort the flash out. On my Evo I have wired my own in. I used a set of 1199 indicators took the plugs off and soldered the 848 indicator plugs on. Might have to cut them again and add resistors to the wiring. It's not that difficult.

  15. Nice Rich! May I ask how much that those have cost you? I'm looking into upgrading to better ones myself.

  16. A lot! Not to sure how much they are new tho

  17. Is a lot somewhere halfway towards a set of rear sets? If so, then I'll be going that route instead. Fancy myself some Lighttech rearsets.

  18. About 50 quid the last set I saw on eBay
