Wow, comparing back to back, the two bikes have more similarities than otherwise. Is it just the colour scheme that renders the Freccia hideous?
maybe the eyes are just drawn to the front - it's funny how small styling changes and even viewing angles can make a difference between ugly/acceptable/beautiful
Thanks, fin. The Multi looks OK in white, up there. I think it's because, being white, you are prepared for it to look awful. On the other hand, red Multis ought to look good - being red - but they don't, which is why they are so jarring in appearance.
That's a particularly unflattering pic you have there of the Freccia. They weren't all like that by any means. They were a baby Paso, just as the Mito was a baby 916. I liked the Paso styling and the best of the Freccias look great too. What about this one:
The old Multi looked pretty good from the side, superb from the back/3 quarters and somewhat hideous from the front.
^ re: Freccia, absolutely and I was only playing devil's advocate as Loz knows well I am and always will be one of the greatest fans of all things Cagiva Bimota Ducati. Quick quiz for a total Bimota anorak - the styling of one Bimota included use of a bespoke Lancia Fulvia part anyone know what it was? 20 cups of coffee or equivalent reward to anyone who knows without googling : )
Chris' pic of the Freccia was incredible, in that it made a lovely bike look horrible. How did he do it? It's like a photo of Eva Green that doesn't make you want to jump on her - theoretically impossible!

Stunning machine this, a real misunderstood classic. It's fast, handles beautifully, is delightfully finished and a total Babe magnet. Zip up your Dainese, throw your leg over her and enjoy the tantalising vibration from the single cylinder powerhouse of an engine.
