It's finally clicked - how you manage to get so many miles out of your tyres: At 4° they don't warm up, so they never wear. Brilliant! You must be bonkers. 4° is no temperature to go for a ride, voluntarily.
To be honest I don't know how I got 15K out of my last set I just rode the bike everywhere, I will see now how many kms I will get out of this new set, today I put on about 200 kms already just out riding & enjoying the day, I know 4 Celcius is too damn cold but I just wanted to ride to get rid of the withdrawals! After a cold days ride...I am going to have something from here...that should warm me up...
Same here, a vigorous game throwing sticks for the dogs, managed to twist it and it's up like a balloon, pretty hacked off as I've been so careful with it and even given up running to look after it. Still, off out for the first ride of the season later today, shame not as warm as yesterday. I will have my heated grips on as well!
That is tshirt and shorts weather where exige lives. Was 3deg when I left yesterday...althouh full thermalsanbig, multi layered jacket was regretted come 12 noon
Work experience lad today is cleaning motorbikes (turd polishing)....sorted. Pictures to follow of the two ugliest bikes ever. USA import CX500 custom in White and "My little Pony" pink / purple flecks. Virago 535 "project bike"...
Back at work, I cancelled my leave for this week because the forecast was rubbish. Yes - bright, sunny, mild, rubbish. FFS. Hmm ... maybe I should clean the 750 when I get home. It's just on the cusp of acceptably dirty, in my opinion.
Rode over to Bristol and had a look at the Scrambler, very nice. Onto Fowlers to look at some new kit for me, very little choice for women so all recommendations of whree to go with more choice welcome. Dropped the 749 over to Louigi's for a belt service, though they had been done but it was a visual only so running on 5 year old belts!!! Left the house this morning with thermals on, We sweated off a few pounds once the sun broke through, it was 18 degs last time I looked.
