Oh yes but will defo be doing the elite course as I wasted a session and a half being held up but the instructor took me out on my own for the last session which was a lot better .
Not me mate, saw the 899 though, weather & day was absolutely mint. The guy I was paired with was super nervous and therefore slow so after the sighting session I ended up one on one with my instructor for the rest of the day . Bonus!
I was there today too... I found for me that today was more about learning to ride a 600 in line 4 than improving my riding over all. (only ridden Ducatis since 1999) I'm keen to do the Elite course and have a bit more grunt to play with. Might do CSS (think they use 899s??)
the tuition was excellent mate , and gives you really good confidence, instructor says we held some good pace ,which was very pleasing . I am ringing today to see about the elite course
sounds the same as me mate i got one to one in the final session and it was alot better seem to flow more on an excellent track .
All booked up for the Elite class at the ron haslam race school 90min in total track time on a fireblade and 1-1 instruction , i knew it would happen but i'm hooked on trackdays now could be a new path for me regarding what i do , road bike but hopefully a trackbike aswell but we shall see . Just want to improve and become safer
£395 use of a honda fireblade upto 90min on track time 1-1 tuition and they use datalogging to improve where you are braking and getting on the gas to improve your riding tech and precision to make you faster and safer
If any of you out there ever go to Donington, you can always stop here for a coffee,we're about 9 miles away all are welcome might even throw in a bacon sarnie if you give enough notice
Well Just come back from Donington park after completing the Elite course , WOW what a day not bad weather aswell , got pissed on riding to the circuit and had one lap in the rain before it was red flagged as somebody had come off . Half the track was dry the other half was wet strange , but it was soon dry again 2nd trackday this year after years not riding and i was lapping at 1.56 , but the tuition was fantastic with Graham ward Ex BSB and WSB and TT rider , Really enjoyed it and learn't loads the instructors make it look so easy , shall be defo going back next year and try to get into the 1.40s
