I'm still laid up in bed with the final remnants of flu. I've not eaten anything substantial since Sunday but I feel I'm just about ready to maybe have some soup. Providing I can drag my sorry arse out of bed, that is.
Next door neighbour has a large horse and a very large donkey. Colleagues give me stale bread for them, so I feed them with this daily. They get pretty excited when they see me (whether or not I have the bread). Neighbour did have a very amusing and cantankerous goat instead of the donkey Other next door neighbour does have cows with bells, but they haven't been let out yet. Must be anytime soon, I would think. Bloke who rents my lower field isn't going to do cows any more from this year onwards. Good news for me as they ate a lot of my new plum tree last year, and amused themselves destroying the fencing I had put up to protect it.
Cows are thugs. Once, when fishing, a herd of them once chased my mate and me into a river and then stood at the bankside, staring at us. Lairy bastards, I hope I eventually ate them.
