They will. Cattle hate dogs. Dogs are pack hunters, their instinct is to single out the weak and the young from a herd of prey animals. Cattle know this. They will try to encircle a dog and trample it. The dog runs back to its owner for protection and the owner gets trampled as well. It happens all the time. If you're walking a dog and you come across a field of cows, especially if they have calves at foot, pick another field.
My wife said she wanted to have a serious talk to me tonight about our relationship. We had a nice meal and some wine and then she started - "I think we need to decide in what direction our relationship is going. I feel we are at a crossroads: one path leads to hardship and commitment but, ultimately, to happiness and joy; the other, well, it just leads to a dead end." She paused. "So what do you say?" I thought about it for a while and then replied, "That's not a crossroads, you silly cow, that's a T-Junction"
OK, I get it now :Cigar: cows hate dogs and the owners hate cats and everyone is in a field, stop smoking
The cows around here are placid, the dog ignores them and vice versa, I also put her on her lead. But if Becky is with me they come over. However, that said, I'm not complacent and watch the cows like a hawk and give them a wide berth especially if they have young.
I hate tractors on the A36, obviously don't have or use their rear view mirrors! I reckon they have competitions in Tractor weekly to see who had the longest recorded queue of frustrated drivers. From Warminster to the A303 there are only a handful of overtaking opportunities but dozens of lay-bys they could pull into if they chose. If I thought I'd only be behind it for a short distance I would happily let one back out if it had pulled over to let drivers pass. :Angelic:
