1st Time In Ducati's World

  1. Hello everybody. After decades with Japanese bikes, I've just bought my first Ducati. It's a 999s 2003. The bike cannot be more beautiful, and handles superbly. But I'm struggling a bit with body position. Shall I get some adjustable rear sets? There are many different types out there, e.g. Woodcraft (£310), Gilles (£383), Lightech (£299), VooDoo (£270), SCM Racing (£210). With so many offers, I'm really confused. Any suggestions? Cheers,

  2. Don't get metaltech. I did, and I'm now struggling to get spares...

  3. Welcome. Could it be your cassock messing up the riding position?

  4. Welcome Father Dave :)

  5. Thanks El Toro

  6. Hahaha... true RickyX, I might need to find an 'adjustable cassock'

  7. Thank you. Good to know.

  8. Hello and welcome. I've got gia moto and happy enough with them.

  9. Is the bike a monoposto? if so the seat/tank unit is adjustable forwards/backwards

  10. Thanks. Will have a look then

  11. Hi son

  12. Thank you very much. Yes, it's a monoposto. Didn't know the seat/tank unit is adjustable. This is a good tip. Thanks a lot!

  13. 3 positions - the whole tank and seat unit move in one :)

  14. And of course, the standard foot pegs, brake and gear lever are adjustable.

I'm no good with body position just grip on with your thighs ;)

  18. Thanks Old Rider. I've noticed that. I'll try to play around the standard rearsets + seat and, if it doesn't work, go for something else. Keep you posted. Thanks again
