Oil Line Connectors

  1. Ok as I have no idea how they are called I have hard time finding what I need so need help.

    What should I search for?

I have a 749 oil cooler with both oil lines attached to it. However on the engine end (where they connect to engine) it is not the same type connector as I have on 900ssie bottom end.

How is that connector called so I can search for the right one?

  2. This is where it needs to connect to I currently have blanking plugs to not loose oil :)

  3. You'll also need to fit a by-pass spring
part no. 799.2.077.2A , item 14 on the picture below, or the oil won't go through the cooler.

  4. @Derek can I not take it from existing 900ssie bottom end that is damaged?

  5. Yes, of course you can. I assumed from the picture that you are fitting an oil cooler to a bike that currently doesn't have one.

  6. it is a correct assumption and thx for heads up as would have missed that otherwise.

  7. Mate as I said I made up my own hoses because the 749/999 ones did not fit. If you have bought these connectors already I will take them off your hands.

  8. Shit that is what you meant.

I will keep to those until I am certain I do not need them. Might do my own hoses but I think I should be able to find a adapter. I have a feeling size I need is M17

  9. If you are stuck i will buy them for cost off you as I will need some for my other builds.

  10. No worries will remember that.

  11. Ducati call the parts you need nipples (!) and they are part no. 815.1.022.1A
You'll also want the aluminium crush washers that go under them, part no. 420.2.006.4A

  12. Can someone tell me the thread size going into the block.
    I have to helicoil!
    Don't ask;)
