Remap Done #grinning!

Discussion in 'Hypermotard' started by BrassFlute, Apr 10, 2015.

  1. Just got the hyper remapped at CJS and I'm grinning from ear to ear:) It's transformed the bike - pulls like a train and the bottom end is unrecognisable. No more clutch feathering and juggling gears at low speeds. Gained a few more ponies through the range as the icing on the cake:)

  2. well done mate , i'll have to get my red bike over there soon .as i sold the hyper. excellent

  3. Seems like the two best outfits are Chris at CJS (Bristol) and Mark at BSD (Peterborough). I hear good reports on both.. BrassFlute you seem very happy with CJS.. did you even consider BSD or was proximity the major influencer for you?

  4. I had heard very good reports about Chris and being only 20 minutes ride away I didn't even think about going elsewhere.

  5. Yeah I've heard really good things about Chris too.. From London I'm 130 Miles from Chris (M4) and 100 miles from Mark (M11).

I think the M11 is a slightly nicer ride than the M4 and 30 miles less to BSD but I'd happily ride the extra 30miles for the best.. price is pretty much the same, both around £500 I think.

I've also hear good things about Mark..

  6. I took my 749r Mark at BSD to have the power commander set up. He wrote a custom map for each cylinder at every 250rpm from tick over to red line.

Transformed the bike. Pulled evenly and without surges from low down.

Ended up with a slight increase in torque, smooth power curve and 122.5 BHP at the back wheel.

More than happy with the results.

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  7. I think Chris charges 425 but as mine took less time than expected he knocked off 50 quid. You could always drive the back roads over Salisbury....

  8. That's a good point those roads are pretty nice aren't they... but it's been a few years since I've been that way so can't remember that well...

Does Chris allow you to watch and explain what he's doing at all??? I'm also equally interested in the learning experience.

  9. He does indeed - you have to vacate the room whilst he's doing the runs on the rollers but then talks you through the mapping after each run.

  10. OK cool thanks...

Saw this one from BSD on youtube.

  11. That's awesome!

  12. Yes it is :)

  13. Ive got a spare ecu from my old hyper thats been "cjs'd"....so, if youve got an 1100evo, stock fronts, performance tail pipes, drilled stock airbox, then mine should fit nicely....500 rpm on the top end o2 sensors disabled and flapper valve marked offline....literally plug in performance..oh, about 7bhp increase throughout the range and massive torque increase in the midrange, about 55ft lb's to just over 70....

  14. Ah thanks for the offer Mr Sofa but mine is a 796 and I'm going Zard headers too otherwise I would have bought that.

  15. Yeah, shame as its literally plug in power.... I will, i think be getting another hyper but more of a project bike....gonna run the ktm for a bit, see how it goes, then, if it goes ill be on the lookout for an old 1100 pre evo, thd worse state its in the better....got some ideas brewing....

  16. Another happy cjs customer

  17. Always was....in fact champing at the bit waiting for chris to be able to remap my zed....

  18. Not sure if bsd map the ecu or always use piggyback PC or nemesis type unit. CJS tune original ecu.

  19. Ironically i just sold my ecu....which was nice!

  20. Mark at BSD remaps the original ECU
