Where Did That Come From?

  1. I keep my workshop floor clean...........

Having had my fairing and alternator cover off and piddled about inside etc etc.........

.....all re-assembled and running etc etc......

.....all tools away and tidied up etc etc..........At least four days ago.

And then yesterday, I find a small O-ring on the floor under the bike approx 7mm OD, 3mm ID.

I don't recall seeing that before.....

  6. deffo, 7x3 clutch push rod?

  7. Surely too small?

  8. Oh no!!!

Best take it all apart and start again Al
Wear your specs next time :)

  9. It wasn't oily.......

.....but even so how would it have come off the clutch pushrod just because the alternator cover was off?

I'm wondering if it was off the nearside indicator screw hole, albeit I never saw it stuck there.

  10. That might have been the missing one from my carb Al?!?!

  11. Was it petrolley :D

  12. Reminds me of when I rebuilt the lad's 2-stroke field bike.

After I'd finished I found a piston circlip on the bench, assuming I'd forgotten to fit it I stripped it down again only to find that it was a spare... :(

  13. What's a Pee Trolley? Something like a Zimmer frame?

Nope, it was dry as a dry one.

You mean that over two years ago, it got off your garage floor, found it's way into my car and somehow migrated from Stowmarket to my workshop floor all that time later and I hadn't seen it?

    Sneaky O-Ring.

  14. Pesky O-Ring :)
