Just had an Ebay customer who was quoted per belt £71 + vat for 999 belts from a main dealer, when he said 'fook me' they then offered him £54 + vat. Didn't realise the extent of the price increase - although I know it's not all dealers that are so expensive and shall we say, trying it on so with customers. I'm happy to say he is now a very happy customer of mine
I don't regard myself as a thick fucker.... your price on eBay is £92....not sure I get your point..... just saying.
I wouldn't even entertain buying the belts from the dealer if they tried that on me...what a way to look after your customers. As I have said before the hype of Ducati parts and and 'only use genuine Ducati parts or approved parts' is becoming a thing of the past and folk are certainly questioning it. Presuming they were Ducati belts that is. There is just as good quality products non Ducati related and not for the inflated prices.
So I do :Wideyed: best quality and very reasonable prices too with even further discount for forum members - just in case anyone missed it
Well, you shouldn't play things so close to your chest, Elise. If you're selling stuff, it pays to advertise
Maybe you should change the title of this thread to "I'm well aware of the price of genuine belts as I've just started selling pattern ones but thought I could get away with some extra free advertising...."
Genuine and pattern? Ducati do not make belts, they supply belts made by a belt manufacturer as oem. @Exige is supplying belts made by another belt manufacturer as an aftermarket alternative. Would you describe K&N filters as pattern or Akrapovic pipes or Renthal bars or Barnett clutches??
Superior perhaps ,the areas ExactFit don't 'copy' actually cost more to manufacture and enhance the products specification
