Hi all, Just trying to download jpdiag on laptop before i buy my leads, although only download i can find is Windows programme. Does anyone know if theres a program for Mac before i waste £20 or just download app on android? Local dealer said £46 for tps reset.. Thanks all
JPDiag is Windows only. There is a Mac version of Guzzidiag (just choose a Guzzi that uses same ECU). For Android there is Scan M5. All these are free. There is also TuneECU Android for under £8 but this only works with IAW5AM. The LonElec lead kit will work with all (using a micro to USB adaptor on Android).
In the JPDiag folder you will see a file called jpdiag28c.ini Delete this file If not running XP then right click on jpdiag28c.exe and go to properties. In compatibility set to XP compat and also admin rights. Click apply. Run jpdiag28c.exe. You should now be able to select 'Anglais' then English and the correct lead. TPS reset is simple to do, just ignition on and one button to click. If you have an IAW5AM ECU you need a licence for the resets to work.
Downloaded guzzidiag but on dig screen asks for model of guzzi and lists models, i,ve gone through the list and none use the same ecu:- Magneti Marelli IAW 59M any ideas or am i being thick!!! thanks all
I'm not able to use it still. I don't have the file you suggest to delete - maybe that's a good thing? Anyone speaka itilianio?!
I had problems with language defaulting to French here's how I managed to solve it. On initial start up, JPDiag defaulted to French with no option to choose English (later I realised the Box on the initialisation page that has the language choices was empty and therefore I could not see the option to choose English). I went into theJPDiag28c Config file "Notepad" to change the lang=0 to lang=1. But could not save the updated file. I just kept getting"access denied only administrator access allow" error message. Strange as my user account is already set up as administrator !!!! Anyway, using the properties/security tabs I set the User accounts to allow modify access to the JPDiag28c Config file. Set the Lang=1 and the file then saved. Opened up JPDiag and it opened in English - yippeeeee I clicked on the "?" on the toolbar, then "About" and the box that was previously empty had all the language options in. So all in all my issues were caused by security and protection settings.
Sorted now. Thank you for your reply. I also used the ? Option too after quite a few nudges and tips from avanti.
Same french issue. I searched everywhere for the config file to change with no luck. When I ran the program for the first time (in french) then quit, it created a config file to amend. Lang=1 instead of Lang=0 (using notepad). Next start up was in English. Not sure if English makes it any clearer how to use it tho Next step connect to bike
