Well this afternoon I sent my new multi bike insurance policy to the dealer. Should be picking up my Scrambler Classic tomorrow afternoon
Completed the first 600m/1000km running in on the new bike in time for the first service on Friday. Roll on more ooommmpphh next week.
It's my wedding anniversary today. I'll never forget the day I met my wife. We were at a fancy dress party. She was stood there, looking gorgeous and slim, with her fat mate. They'd gone together, dressed as the number ten. I knew there and then, she was the one.
There's a phrase that sums this up: "if it's not broke, don't fuck with it". Ducati wanted you to have a wet clutch. They designed it that way. Stop pissing around with it, get on the bike and ride it to the max. That is what it was designed for.
True...but I have always liked the dry clutch that's why I changed it in the 1st place...its a classic sound & aesthetically it looks really cool! RIP dry clutch!
Without going into details I have lost a lot of weight very suddenly this morning  very little pain or drama associated with this and as I have also lost my sense of smell I feel a bit like a machine with an oil leak
@01.30 I had a call from a driver saying that the Customer had insisted on strapping his gear into one of our vans himself, something had shifted and the side of the van was now damaged @05.50 I had a call from a Customer in Frankfurt asking where the truck was:it transpired the Customers warehouse staff had told my Driver to go to a different place in the Messe than the one the Customer actually wanted the truck to go to.... @08.00 I had a call from a Driver saying he had just snagged an ABS suzie while reversing and snapped it...(I shared the misery by informing him that his clumsiness was going to cost him the £65 for the part..). I'm not having a good week tbh...yesterday I popped down to meet a driver,(en route to Europe but missing his German city emissions sticker), at South Mimms on the Beemer, the TPS warning came on and the friggin' garage airline let all of the air OUT and wouldn't put any IN...RAC had to be called... Nothing major in the great scheme of things:no one has been hurt and they are just minor irritants really, but anyone who thinks running a small business is easy needs their head examined. Oh look,it's almost time to start work...
awww thanks... Just had the driver (of the damaged van) on the dog explaining in a bit more detail,(he's an agency bloke)...he said he's been stressing himself out worrying how he was going to break the news to me,didn't realise one of the other lads had already dobbed him in. I feel more sorry for him than myself now..it's the gaffer's,(my!),job to worry about shite like this, although his concern was definitely appreciated...
Don't you just love dobbers:Banghead: I'm getting the feeling your an understanding boss Hope your not too hard on him accidents happen
