It's new battery time. I was looking to go for a sealed battery but not sure if I can stretch to a Motobatt at ~£95. BS do a sealed one for ~£50, so does anyone have any experience of them? DUCATI 600 SS Supersport 94-98 BS Sealed SLA Upgrade Battery YB16AL-A2 | eBay Also Motobatt do a YB16AL-A2 equivalent which is ~£70 (so cheaper than the one they say is for the 600SS, but some of the dimensions are slightly larger 207 x 72 x 164mm as opposed to the Dynavolt that I currently have which is 205 x 70 x 162mm. Measuring the rubber battery base it seems to be 70mm so hinting that the direct YB16AL-A2 replacement Motobatt would not fit. I would be glad to hear of peoples experiences before taking the plunge and potentially getting something that will not fit.
Just fitted Motobatt (mb16au) to my SL, so should fit yours OK. Was £66 delivered from Hypermoto via ebay
How did the connections works out as mine are a 'Z' shape when viewed from the side whereas the Motobatt appears to have the connecting plate vertical so not sure how that would work?
Their 'connecting plate' allows connections on both the top (as your old one I guess), and the rear face (i.e. in both horizontal and vertical planes), so you should be OK.
