  1. I managed to get the finance on a year old 899 which surprised me actually.

Ah, jeezuz. Its a beauty - absolutely mint. Picking it up in about a week. I couldn't sleep last night. I was imagining riding it everywhere.... :)

Bobby bargain as well as it comes with everything I could have dreamed about on it and more.. damn.

    Full 3M ventureshield fitted.
Termignonis exhausts (no idea what they are like as have only been on two 2-hour rides on stock)
    Tail Tidy
    Seat Cowl
    1199 small bacl LED conversion
    billet foot pegs
    front rad guard
    bar-ends
    rear pegs removed
    front and rear bobbins
    Comes with all original parts.

Ah, it has brutal super corsas on it. I am contemplating asking the dealer to replace them with normal corsas as they look like they will not be ideal in the wet !! :)

    Oh, its red...:punch:

  2. It will fly...that's the fastest colour. Black being the slowest.

  3. Red is best :)

Plenty of sleepless nights to go

    Then smiles for miles

  4. Congrats on your purchase, and as we all know red is the quickest.....fact!

Now where's the photos or it never happened?

  5. Ha, When I have to hand I will def be showing it off.

Need some cheap matchnig leathers now....

  6. Yep, Reds the colour for Ducati's

  7. thanks, I will investigate those Metzlers.
Never heard of that tyre as it happens. Usually hear Bridgestones, Dunlop, rosso corsa, etc.

Maybe just get some gold wheels with the other tyres on.. ahem.

  8. Don't bother with any other tyre , Metzlers m7 rr Nuff said ,

  9. m7rr is not available in the 180/60 yet.

  10. Welcome to the club, great time of year for your purchase.
    Enjoy

  11. Should have got an MV 800 F3. 0% finance

  12. This was on my original shortlist:
My next bike shortlist - Member Reviews & Blogs - WhichBike - Best choice of the best motorcycles for your needs

However, the nearest main dealer (for repairs/servicing) is 170 miles away, the dealer who stocks new ones (but kows feck all about the bike) is 50 miles away but couldn't get me on one and it has been 2 1/2 weeks.
Furthermore, I was put off by some scary stories about their reliability for long miles.
lastly, I saw the F3 800 again midweek and decided that the 899 is prettier overall and I KNOW I liked riding it.

If the dealer had one for me to try I may well have bought the F3 on the spot before my second ride on the 899.

Plus, the termis on the 899 improve the low/mid and makes it perfect in my eyes.

  13. congrats, well done, but what do you mean of riding in the wet?

  14. :)
Like my cycling and golf - wet weather does not faze me... but it might if the tyres are slippery!

  15. Good choice, liked the video but I think I would be editing the parts at 8m12s and 16m 43s, you never know who is watching !!

  16. Yeah, I have done this a few times on videos - It must be a lack of concentration when making the video along with a slow car. I don't do it when riding normally. Same reason that I get lost in nearly every video that I make!
This was pointed out in another thread as well so thanks. I definitely need to keep a check on this braviour as I know the lines are there for a reason EVEN if I know that I can safely get passed on a bike. I do believe they were made for the average car to be aware of but the law is the law! cheers.

  17. It doesn't bother me but you never know if someone who has nothing better to do takes a look.

Have you got your bike yet or still waiting for it. Just done 120 miles on mine this morning. Filled it to the brim and got home with the fuel light on and the fuel trip showing around 5 miles. That is about as far as I would risk going so look for garages at around 90/100 miles.

You are right, the airbox sound is addictive. Better go and check my tyre pressures now that I have just realised they are wrong !

  18. I thought I heard you coming :)
    Don't they sound beautiful
Great commentary made me laugh not a fan of fffff

  19. Changed, thanks ian.
