  1. Hi everyone, Just like to introduce myself and say hello from Chester.
I bought my MTS on 18-04-2015 (lasr saturday).
Done over 300 miles using it after work and I love it BUT..............
on my last ride on it an error code came up on the screen...........
    Error
    DES
    Front rebound
    This won't clear
Also rear brake feels like it is full of air, needs pumping 2-3 times before anything is there then same again next time I want to use it.
    Are these common problems??
Just sold my BMW R1200GS Te to buy this and now I'm wondering if I did the right thing.
I've always wanted a Duke but was afraid of the reliability problems but thought What the hell I love them so take a punt!
    Any Advise???

  2. Hi Kevin,

    Welcome to a great forum.

    Surprised at the faults!!
Please add photos to your report.

Rear brake on the MTS1200 is normally great now.
No DES errors reported on the fronts.

More to follow once we've seen your evidential pictures.

  3. Will post some pictures when I take some over the weekend.

  4. Get it back to the dealer to sort. And welcome Dave :)

  5. I bought it privately so no warranty.
    Thanks for the welcome guys!!

  7. Sorry I misunderstood.
Yes the backs do need a good bleed, I'll add the link to the relevant post or search bleeding in the multitrada section.
Des error, check the little connectors on the top of each fork leg they can come loose.

  17. Removed front fork wiring connections from top of forks and error has cleared.
    Thanks Aircon!!
Must say they're a poor connection , don't seem to lock in place.

  18. Have you reconnected too and it's ok then? Or have to leave disconnected?

  19. Hi Bradders,
first thing I did was remove battery terminals to reset system but that didnt work and put mph to kph, galllon to litres and disabled the DTC.
Des front rebound fault was still there.
After Aircon's advice to try dissconnecting and reconnecting the cables into the top of the forks it has started working fine, took it out this miorning and no problems.
    I'm a happy bunny!!
