848 / 1098 Modifications - what did you do ?

  1. That's roughly € 70,-, without shipping. Then the Rizoma's might be a cheaper option. Thanks!

  2. First ride out this morning with the 14T front on. Just wish I'd done this sooner. Brilliant :)

  3. Is it smoother from a standing start?

  4. Yes. Smoother all around! Well worth doing. A lot easier riding round town.

  5. That's where it's most noticeable.

  6. Do you have a link Bettes to the sprocket you purchased?

  7. Sorry, no. Got it from the dealers. Paid £18 and it's a JT drilled one. Should be loads on eBay. Some people have got them for as little as £14.

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  8. EVR racing slipper clutch and HM quick shifter, both performed great at Jerez last image.jpg image.jpg

  9. Where is your carbon clutch cover from thespion?

  10. Just had the DP mirrors repaired and fitted them now. I think they look miles better that the standard ones and am looking forward to seeing if they offer better vision on the road.

  11. Are they narrower than the standard ones mate?

  12. Yes they are by quite a bit. On the downside, the indicators are very dim. But I knew that before putting them on.

  13. Sorry late in replying, I don't know mate it was on bike when bought. There are no markings on it to tell me who made it

  14. No bother mate, thanks anyway. I think I found it.

  15. Belt service & oil filters etc, also added more (yes I know) carbon too

  16. Speedy moto top yoke fitted. Needed to drop the forks about 10 mm to get the fork tops flush with the yoke. Raised the bars about another 10 mm and now have about a 30 degree sweep to alter the position of the clip ons. Going to have a ride about on it to see if I want to fit the helibars for more height and comfort.

Second photo taken before moving the clip ons. Had to strip all fairings, right down to the air tubes in order to get to the bottom yoke! Happy with it so far.

  18. Quick question what's should be the rev's on tick over?

  19. Varies from bike to bike. I'd say any thing between 1000 and 1500 is good for a V twin.

  20. My 1198 is always around 1500rpm (and loud as hell at the lights) whereas the 749 is a constant 1000rpm.
