Hi all, Just wanted to say hi to you all. I'm very much looking forward to engaging with you and sharing our passion for one of the best bike manufacturers on the planet. Only trouble , I don't yet own a Ducati, and so I'm in the market for one having just sold my GSXR 1000 last night. I have test ridden the Diavel Carbon at my local dealers and fell in love, so I'm in the market for a used Carbon model, preferably in red, but will admit it's a struggle as there doesn't seem to be any about just yet.......only high mileage ones.... Anyway , the search will continue for now. ..... Steve
Ye be just across the boarded, there is a good DOC meeting, they even let us Suffolk people attend sometimes.
If you get your hands on one make sure you always chain it to an immovable object. Tracker is advisable too. Thieves love the carbon - it's easily removed and sold. I had one once - for a few hours! It was immobilised, had a butch chain through the forks and wheel and was disc-locked. But the scum bags must have lifted it into a van or lorry.
Would you feel positive if you'd had a Diavel Carbon stolen after three hours? I mentioned it to a dealer and he said about the carbon making them targets for thieves so I'm just trying to be helpful by passing the info on!
Would/should take more than that. He'll be fine as long as he chains it to an moveable object with top-class gear.

I tried to ween myself off all bikes once by buying a Laverda Jota. Even that didn't work. I just regained my sanity by riding a Honda for a few years!!!
It's ok guys , you won't put me off owning my dream machine. Really appreciate the heads up though with regards to keeping it nailed down and secure as I was thinking of using it for short journeys down to the shops etc and did wonder if I could leave it in the odd public car park for an hour or two.......
You won't ever have a short journey you will find every excuse to go around the block till tea time and then it's hard to put the bike back I'm the garage Just one more lap
Mine was parked in a private car park behind some shops while I went for lunch. Two hours later it was gone. When I said I parked my Multistrada in the same place overnight for weeks without any problem the dealer said it was because of the carbon, as I said. Just be careful!
