I had a couple of meetings up north and took the opportunity to make a slight diversion to see my old mum for an hour. She's still lala but happy whilst being lala

Collected a batch of chromium plated parts from the chromers in Deptford. Here's a pic of some specimens. I think I now have all the chromed steel parts I need for my Pantah projects.

I was on the tram today, sitting on a newspaper, and a guy came over and asked "Are you reading that?" It took me by surprise, so I said "yes". Then I stood up, turned the page, and sat down again.
Accepted a new job. More money and closer, with a far nicer company. Really pleased, can't wait to start
This week has been a very challenging one both mentally and physically. As a family we went to the funeral of a dear friend who we had known,as our next door neighbour, since we moved into our house over 30 years ago.We were first on the scene when his wife called us for assistance,we did our best with cpr till the fast response paramedic arrived just minutes later. He died shortly after in hospital. It brings home how our lives are vulnerable and fragile and we should not take lots of things for granted. Mrs Mervyn has been more than usually protective of me since and I feel very guilty the way my poor health has impacted on her.Must try harder to let those I cherish know how much I think of them.Could be my thought for the day. Out of the blue yesterday I had a call from a guy in Bristol enquiring if the Triton I had for sale on Ebay last month was still for sale.I told him that it was not for sale,I was not impressed with the idiots that came and made me silly offers, and the bike was going into the workshop for a makeover.I thanked him for his enquiry and that was it.Twenty minutes later he rang again and asked if I would reconsider and sell it to him.I was very polite and told him I would not be messed about standing about in the cold tyre kicking-but if he turned up with £xxxx he could have it.He is apparently coming on sunday with the money to buy it!I will believe it when it happens.Mrs Mervyn reckons he was lucky to catch me in my bike selling mood. In the cold light of day my heart tells me I shouldn't have sold it,my brain tells me that I am not short of motorbikes and I can't kick start a bike anyway.More room in the garage for something more suitable. For the first time ever Mrs Mervyn has been in the garage today and has been shown the differences between the 3 old bikes I have and why they are so different but look the the same.I don't think Mrs Mervyn wants me to sell the bike, she is such a doll, she knows what my dreams mean to me. Safe and happy riding to everybody.
