1199 Panigale S Rim Stripe Removal

  1. As per title, has anyone removed/polished off the red rim paint? All black 'R' look is preferred by me.
    I could put a black one over the top, but my ocd wont allow it.

  2. It's actually painted on, I just Rubbed it down masked up then satin blacked. I hate the red rim stripes

  5. Just stick some rim tape over them like I did on my S (yes it is an S) and I've got anal level OCD.

  9. You do realise that the stripe holds the tyres into the rims, don't you ?! As a OCD type of person, I would have thought you would leave this essential, safety critical component exactly as it was, but masked it carefully up either side and blown it in with the correct shade of OE, Ducati branded aerosol paint ? Solution ! And your tyres won't fall off either !
