Mines still at P&H getting its engine rebuilt. Hoping they pick up on this whilst it's in there but it's the least of their worries with mine at the moment [emoji16]
So is it a recall or a service action I wonder? I'm still waiting for Riders Cardiff to issue me with a coolant recall, Ohlins fork recall and all of the other recalls. They are useless. I have to find the notices and ring them. Needless to say, as the bike is now out of warranty, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
Initially an inspection is performed then, dependent upon what they find, part(s) are required. There was nothing of concern with mine, it only requires a plastic housing and 15 minutes to fit.
Thx for the heads up, one for me to sort after I have moved. Although snells will be a bit of a trek...
You'd think it should be listed on the VOSA recalls database, but there's nothing there yet: VOSA - Vehicle Recalls
Did they mention it or did you hassle? Mines in at the mo getting pretty much a full engine rebuild. Hoping they do the recall too whilst it's there (actually awaiting a call back from Luke so will ask him)
I made my money years ago:Angelic:....I do Air Con for a hobby....:Banghead: I'm too young for Golf, Fishing or having an Allotment..
Ok, Just spoken to the workshop at Moto Rapido and it's an inspection ONLY. They need to look at the Bowden cables on the throttle at the handlebars for signs of wear or fraying. We agreed that I'd check it myself and see if I needed the parts. I assume they'd want me to send a photograph. Note the newer bikes like my 2013 PP will not be part of the inspection regime as it is not included. The parts are an updated design of housing and new cables (same as the old...but not frayed). I elected to do it this way as it saves me the best part of 1/2 a day.
Excellent. I never knew there was a proper name for that sort of cable. You learn something new every day.
