Ducati Wolves Horrible Bunch

  1. As above plus one for Ducati John. I went all the way from London to have an engine rebuilt by him.

  2. I bought my 848 from them. Bike was a pre reg so was perfect. I travelled down , bought it, and they delivered it when we agreed. No problems at all.

id buy another if they were cheap enough.

  3. I think the main problem is the owner thinks he rules the world .. So if everything is going ok you will be fine .. IF something goes sideways for him so do YOU .. He is the only interested party !!!

Unpredictable companies wind me up .. Consistency is the key to keep customers happy ..

  7. I've never heard good things from ducati wolves... Had my own experience in there and it was also terrible :(

  8. To be honest I get on with them ok and not sure who they use for paint but id highly recommend for this after having a few wheels and 998R seat unit repainted.

However even though I live in Wolves I always make the 80 mile round trip to JHP Ducati Coventry for ALL service work or fitting performance parts.Hense when I had the dymag longer swingarm, rear shock and dp mag yokes fitted Rick did it all and set it up to perfection.Being going to them since the days of white lodge and was instantly impressed as soon as I walked though the door.

Its even better for me now as you have the added convenience of the JHP van now since they moved to Keresley Rd to collect and drop off bike back to you.

  10. I was taken in by all the good comments about JHP but found them to be the worst company I have ever dealt with (and I have seen quite a few bad ones). I could never get a proper definition of what would be done and the price kept changing every time I contacted them. I eventually had to settle the bill just to drawn a line and be able to move on. An expensive lesson.

  11. I've been on these forums for years. I have seen:

99% of feedback on Ducati Wolves has been very poor.
95% of feedback on JHP has been very good, with 5% of it being very poor - bizarre.
100% of feedback on Cornerspeed has been very good.

I live on the Sussex coast and when I wanted my 999S back on the road after nearly 5 years in mothballs, I had Nelly from Cornerspeed pick it up and do his thing. I would do this again without any qualms.
The only problem I had with Cornerspeed is that I was supplied with a duff battery - this issue was resolved quickly and without any fuss whatsoever. Despite the distance, I am tempted to have my regular servicing done there - if my local dealer ever messes me around, that's exactly what I'll do.

  12. I feel I must jump in to defend Ducati Wolverhampton as I have 5 years experience in dealing with them & have never felt the need to go to any other dealer.
I have bought 3 bikes off them & wouldn't hesitate to buy another. in this time they have always been serviced & worked on when agreed. On the one occasion when they hadn't been able to do the work on the day, they have let me know in advance & let me have a bike to go home on & return the next day.
I can't thank Tony enough for the repair he did for me last year on the morning I was setting off for misano wdw14.
I jumped on my multi to set off & noticed front fork seal knackerd. I thought the trip was off or chance it. I rang tony & explained, & he told me to bring it down. A couple of hours later him & Scott had stripped them down & new fork seals were fitted. I wouldn't have expected that kind of service from anyone so can't thank him/them enough & feel I must give my own personal views.
On the 3 bikes I've bought off them I've covered 25,000 miles & am very happy with the service they have given me!!
Ps I have no interest in tony/dawn or Ducati Wolverhampton. I'm just a happy customer that find some of the comments above abit harsh, & felt I needed to give my view on things.

  13. 98% then :)

  14. 3 bikes . That means you are an asset to them.. They need your business . Try buying a bike from elsewhere and going to see them .. Or tell one of your friends to buy a bike from elsewhere and see them ..

They are not consistent and treat you well because they like your wallet ..

  15. I had exactly the same experience with Ducati Wolves last year, booked in weeks in advance & arranged something around the fact that I would be stuck there for a few hours. Only to be let down at short notice as they were testing a race bike. They were not bothered about it at all

  16. Just been checking belt prices on Ebay and guess which dealer is selling 'genuine 916, 888, 748, 996 Belts' cheap? Thought I had some more competition on price but hey oh - they don't mention they are very very old stock non fibre re-enforced belts which were later upgraded due to issues ;)
Be careful out there, you know where I am :Angelic: quality 'and' value :)

  18. Thread closed? :)

  19. JHP is my closest dealer but I just can't bring myself to spend there. My few experiences haven't been bad but I just get the impression they like the money of new bikes and aren't so bothered with older stuff.
Wolves I've never really heard any strong recommendations for. I've not heard anything bad about cornerspeed but I have a good relationship with Louigi Moto in Bristol so always go there. Most the time that's all a customer wants too, not to be made to feel their custom isn't important.
